In 1997, brothers Dean & Jean Pierre (JP) Pigéon started a small catering company that grew from the Deli that had been established in Kenner in 1992. Pigéon Catering & Events has grown into one of the largest and most popular in the city of New Orleans.
Along the way Pigéon Caterers became the official food service provider to the New Orleans Saints and eventually the Pelicans offering a variety of delicious and nutritious meals in tandem with nutritionits. In 2006, they expanded their product line by purchasing the Gumbo Shop Catering.
In addition to the thriving compay that services the highly active social market, conventions & meetings they purchased Carnival Culinary Solutions in 2007.
When the Pigéon brothers purchased Carnival Culinary Solutions the company was only producing crab cakes that were being distributed to grocery stores in the frozed seafood section. Customers enjoyed Carnival Culinary Solutions food and requests came pouring in to expand the line. A new USDA facility was opened and now they produce an entire line of appetizers, dips, soups, sauces, gravies, desserts, as well as center of the plate entrees.
The brothers' mission statement has always been the same: "the desire to provide the highest quality food to their customers and continue to find innovative ways to bring their New Orleans style foods to the heart of America through Carnival Culinary Solutions."
