About Us
Carnival Culinary Solutions is part of a story that began in the early nineties, when brothers Dean and Jean Pierre Pigéon grew a small Kenner deli into one of New Orleans’ most recognized catering and events companies. As Pigéon Caterers expanded, so did its reputation, eventually becoming the official food service provider for the New Orleans Saints and the Pelicans. Their commitment to quality and consistency opened doors, including the 2006 acquisition of Gumbo Shop Catering.
In 2007, the Pigéon brothers took the next step and purchased Carnival Culinary Solutions. At the time, the operation focused on a single product: crab cakes in the frozen seafood aisle. The demand for their food spoke for itself. Customers wanted more, and the company responded. A new USDA facility opened, and the product line grew into a complete portfolio of appetizers, dips, soups, sauces, desserts, and center-of-the-plate entrées.
Today, Carnival Culinary Solutions continues to build on the brothers’ original mission: deliver exceptional food rooted in quality, crafted with care, and designed to bring the flavors of New Orleans to kitchens across America. That commitment isn’t just part of our history. It’s the standard we work by every day.
